Structural and Stratigraphic Interpretation of Dipmeters and Borehole-Imaging Logs

Dipmeters and borehole images reveal the orientation of beds, fractures and borehole features, whether acquired on wireline or while drilling. This course explains the physics behind these tools and how to interpret them for structural purposes such as faults, fractures and stress direction, and for stratigraphic purposes such as palaeocurrents, thin beds and depositional setting.
