Seismic Positioning Data Management

This course explains the geodetic considerations needed to remove ambiguity from geospatial data, using case studies covering acquisition, processing, loading and well location selection. While both navigation and trace data are addressed, the main focus is the positioning component of seismic trace data. Metadata preservation and compliance with international exchange standards are treated as the backbone of data integrity.
