Reservoir Engineering
Enhanced Oil Recovery Fundamentals
A large share of the original oil often stays in the ground at abandonment because of heterogeneity, unfavourable fluids, inefficient displacement and economic limits. This course builds an understanding of the reservoir variables behind that shortfall and of the options for improving recovery. It moves from primary depletion and pressure maintenance through to the main enhanced recovery methods, including their target applications, benefits and limitations.
