Drilling and Wells
Drilling Fluids Technology
This course covers the theory and practice of drilling fluids, from simple shallow wells to complex high-pressure ones. Participants learn how clays, polymers and water chemistry shape mud properties, and how to read fluid reports to cut non-productive time. Contaminant treatment and the selection and management of non-aqueous systems are also addressed, with hands-on labouratory work in some sessions.
