Production and Completions

Advanced Hydraulic Fracturing

Aimed at practitioners who already fracture wells, this course examines the assumptions behind common fracturing concepts in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. It compares design approaches, covers rock and fluid mechanics in depth and shows how injection test and real-time data refine fracture parameters. Team exercises work through stimulation of a vertical well and the completion and stimulation choice for an unconventional horizontal well.
